The system known as the Deep Soil Mixing or Turbo Jet is an effective improvement method based on column formation by means of on-site mixing all kinds of fixing agent (cement etc.) added on the soil having a consistency and firmness on which mechanic drilling/cutting may be performed with the soil by means of center hole spins or paddle mixers.
This method that enables formation of rigid columns as a result of connector reactions occurred between the materials (cement etc.) mixed by being added in the soil and the soil is considerably effective in controlling of total and different settlements, and increasing soil bearing capacity and/or liquidisation resistance, restriction of dynamic settlements to occur after liquidisation and stabilization of bevels and fillings.
